MASTER OF SCIENCE NURSING (MSN)

MISSION
In alignment with AUHS mission, School of Nursing and MSN Program prepares students to make a positive impact on society through the provision of
competent, caring, and evidence-based nursing care to diverse patient populations. This mission is accomplished by recruiting and graduating diverse students, preparing them to deliver culturally sensitive, caring, and evidence-based nursing services to all persons in need. The SON exemplifies the core values of the University through belief in Christian Values, holistic approach to education, promotion of the intellectual, analytical, and critical thinking abilities of its students, evidence-based knowledge, and a commitment to teaching/learning, research, service, and scholarship.

The School of Nursing embraces the educational philosophy of the University, which is dedicated to preparing a professional and culturally diverse workforce for nursing and research sectors of healthcare- a workforce who will utilize research and evidence-based practice to guide healthcare delivery, understand the application of research, display high level competencies to health care delivery and value the continuation of learning.
