Exempt Employees

Exempt Employees, although not covered by the above regulations, are expected to use good judgment as to the timing and length of rest and meal periods so that their job responsibilities are performed in a timely manner. Meal periods should be taken as close to the middle of the workday as possible in order to maintain workflow and meet the needs of customers. The University will provide nursing mothers with periods during the workday to express milk.
