PURPOSE OF THIS HANDBOOK
American University of Health Sciences (hereinafter the “University” or “AUHS”) has adopted this Employee Handbook (hereinafter “Handbook”) to acquaint Employees with the University and to provide a ready reference to answer most questions regarding employment with the University. The contents of this Handbook are only a summary of Employee benefits, personnel policies, and employment policies at the time of publication. The University has the ability to prospectively add, delete, or modify policies, benefits, pay rates, retirement plans, bonus plans, and all other working conditions as it deems appropriate, without obtaining an Employee’s consent or agreement. Therefore, this Handbook should not be construed as creating any kind of “employment contract.”
This Handbook should be kept throughout the duration of employment or until a new Handbook is provided. This Handbook can be changed by the University at any time, but can only be changed in writing by the President/CEO. Regardless of the date of hire, Employees are subject to any amendments, deletions, and changes to the Handbook.
