ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF A NURSING STUDENT

In order to practice nursing, a person must possess a variety of cognitive, sensory, affective and psychomotor skills. These functions are essential to successful progression in and completion of the nursing program requirements and are a required part of each course. If a nursing student cannot meet these standards, the student must communicate this to the Dean in writing to explore options for reasonable accommodations or modifications in order to meet program requirements.
