ATI Testing (School of NURSING Only)


We currently utilize Assessment Technologies Institute (ATI) standardized testing as an adjunct to teaching. In addition, students must pass the comprehensive ATI test in order to successfully complete the program.  All nursing Content Expert will complete the ATI Champion.  It is the expectation that faculty who teach in courses where ATI is utilized will access the ATI site, understand how to navigate the ATI website, understand the purpose and outcome of the assessment data and evaluate the student data and make changes to their courses if necessary using these data.   Within the nursing curriculum, these courses that are assigned ATI assessment that requires the students to obtain LEVEL 2.  The schedule for ATI assessment is as follows:

    • a. ATI practice test week 8
    • b. ATI Assessment 1 week 10
    • c. ATI Assessment 2 retake week 11 on Friday

We also utilize Assessment Technologies Institute (ATI) standardized testing as supplemental to teaching, and measurement of student academic course performance. Students in N460 Transition course must complete and pass all requirements listed in the N460 Transition to Professional Practice Checklist & Student Success Plan.  Students are made aware that failure to complete and pass any of the requirements will receive a grade of incomplete (INC).  Students in this course are required to sign the N450 syllabus and N460 checklist and student success plan. It is the expectation that faculty who teach in courses where ATI is utilized will access the ATI site, understand how to navigate the ATI website, understand the purpose and outcome of the assessment data and evaluate the student data and make changes to their courses if necessary using these data.
