Positive Attitude

Our expectation is that both students and faculty will come to our learning areas each and every day with positive attitudes, open minds and ready to give and receive information freely. Like all work environments, working with others can sometimes be challenging. We need to keep an open mind and not take things personally.  Students in our program struggle with working too many hours, caring for families, struggling to pay for school, being stressed out about testing and just the rigors of school.   Health science programs are intense. Neither students nor faculty get much turn-around time.  Although we advise students not to overextend themselves, the reality can be much different.

Our primary goal is to support our students and achieve their educational goals and dreams.  AUHS ensures that full support is provided to you as leaders and faculty members.  If you have concerns and are unsure how to handle specific situations, please consult your school deans or supervisors for collaborative resolutions and decisions.
