Grades
Please maintain accurate records regarding student grades and assignments. A student may file grievance regarding his/her grade ONLY if the grade was miscalculated (see catalog). It is expected that instructors must keep accurate records and copies of assignments of concern to aid members of the grievance committee or the dean/ program director in assessing and responding to the filed grievance and often will be able to support instructor’s reason(s) and decisions for giving the final grade.
All assignments, weekly quizzes/test, presentation grades must be posted on CANVAS no later than 2 days from testing date or due date.
Final Grades must be posted in the Student Information System (SIS) and submitted in the official grade sheet no later than 2 business days after the Final Exam Date OR Monday after the Final Exam week whichever is sooner (NO EXCEPTION). You may fax it at (562) 988-1791 or email it to registrar@auhs.edu AND submit the Original Grade sheet with signature at the Registrar’s Office either by email or in person.
As all new faculty members are required to use the Student Information System (SIS), an In-Service Training is scheduled during your orientation period. Please contact the Director of Student Services for the required training.
All Final Grades must also be posted on CANVAS for the students to access and view.
