Classroom and Course Management: (Campus-based, Simulation, and Remote online-based)
Effective classroom management strategies and skills are the most important abilities a teacher can have. Thus, the importance of classroom management cannot be understated.
- Classroom management cuts right to the heart of everything that we do as teachers, and without effective classroom management strategies we are left unable to deliver the curriculum effectively and chaos often ensues.
- A safe and positive learning environment must be created within your classroom, or students will not be able to access and benefit from the curriculum that you teach.
- Students (and faculty) will follow mandated dress codes with AUHS logo in all methods of instructions, i.e. Campus-based, Simulation, and Remote online-based.
- Students are expected to be 100% present in all classroom instructions, and not working on the job while attending simulation and remote online-based instructions.
- Students are expected to comply with rules related to learning activities and syllabi requirements.
- Students are expected to comply with rules in consuming food/drink in the classroom. Only bottled water is allowed in the classrooms, however even water is not allowed in classrooms or areas equipped with computers on desks.
- Faculty members are to enforce all policies (such as those listed in the syllabus and Catalogue) as part of their classroom management.
